Micah Abrams is an editorial and digital media professional with nearly two decades experience. He currently oversees editorial for TEN — The Enthusiast Network — the largest publisher in action sports, including Surfer, Powder, TransWorld SNOWboarding, TransWorld Skateboarding, and more. Micah leads all content strategy, production, and optimization by platform for the company. Prior to joining TEN, Micah was the Editorial Director for Fatherly, a new media property redefining how Millennial and Generation X dads find and consume ideas and information about parenting. He served previously as an Editor In Chief of both websites and magazines, as well as a Director Of Programming for online video channels. His skill set includes writing, editing, video production, digital content strategy and editorial team building and leadership. He has worked in the sports, men’s general interest and technology categories.
Micah has a track record of building new editorial properties and audiences in both start up environments and established media corporations. He’s overseen staffs as large 30 people, worked for divisions of publicly traded companies and bootstrapped independent businesses, and managed production budgets of several million dollars. He’s also managed production budgets of tens of dollars.
In a freelance capacity, Micah has written and produced video for numerous national and international outlets. Most notably, he worked on the 2006 Winter Olympics broadcast for NBC and the 2008 Summer Olympics for NBCOlympics.com, for which he was awarded a Sports Emmy. He has written the voice-over narration for the annual Warren Miller Entertainment ski and snowboard film – the granddaddy of action sports films at 67 years old – for the past 11 years.
