At Playrific, Beth oversees a platform that builds engaging apps for kids with IP from child-oriented family brands. She most recently developed Gazintu™, the first controller technology that uses toys to lets kids feel and play with mobile apps.
Beth sold her first company, EXOS, creator of the SideWinder force-feedback joystick, to Microsoft. She also founded four other companies including Zeemote, where she led cross-functional efforts to deliver wireless controller products for mobile devices.
Beth holds over 30 technology patents, is widely published and is a recognized expert in human interface and control. As founder, investor, or advisor, she has helped successfully guide more than 25 start-ups in a variety of industries, including LeapFrog, Smrtguard and HTMedical.
Beth holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, and has served as a faculty member in their Mechanical Engineering department. She received a Ph.D. in Biomechanics from the Imperial College, London, where she was a Marshall Scholar.
